Britain's Queen Camilla has reassured the public of her improving health as she returned to work on Tuesday after battling a chest infection. The 77-year-old royal had to cancel several commitments, including last weekend's Remembrance Sunday, but felt fit enough to host a reception for Booker Prize nominees at her Clarence House residence.
During the event, Queen Camilla expressed her recovery progress to author Percival Everett, stating, "I'm on the mend, these things always take a bit of time to get rid of." However, her schedule remains minimized this week to aid her recuperation, resulting in her absence from the London premiere of "Gladiator II" on Wednesday.
A palace source reported that although Camilla faced a troublesome bug, there is no major health concern. Meanwhile, King Charles, still in treatment following his cancer diagnosis earlier this year, will continue to participate in all scheduled events this week.
