Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the pressing need for national unity amid efforts to destabilize society for vested interests. He stressed that togetherness is crucial for turning India into a developed nation by 2047. Modi's remarks came during a virtual address on the 200th anniversary of the Vadtal Swaminarayan Temple in Gujarat.

Modi spoke about self-reliance, or atmanaribharta, as a cornerstone for India's progress, requesting unified support from the Swaminarayan community. The Prime Minister also linked national pride in cultural heritage with future growth, aligning it with his government's mantra of "Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi" (development alongside heritage).

The Prime Minister urged the global Swaminarayan community to spread the cultural importance of the Kumbh Mela, slated for next year. With international awareness campaigns, Modi envisions bridging the world to India's heritage, reinforcing the importance of cultural celebrations like the Kumbh Mela as potent symbols of unified identity.
