Golden Globe nominee Jessica Alba has been officially cast in the forthcoming biographical film 'Maserati: The Brothers', according to a report by Deadline. Alba will be joining actors Anthony Hopkins, Michele Morrone, and Andy Garcia to capture the fascinating saga of the Maserati family's legacy in car manufacturing.
Alba is set to take on a key role as Sandra, a character crucial to the storyline. Meanwhile, Andy Garcia will portray Mr. Rossini, and Michele Morrone will embody Alfieri Maserati, one of the original founders. Hopkins has been selected to play an Italian financier instrumental in supporting the Maserati vision. The production, under Andrea Iervolino's leadership, is slated to commence filming in Italy by the end of next month.
Delving into historical roots, Deadline outlines that the Maserati brand originated in 1914 in Bologna, founded by brothers Alfieri, Ettore, and Ernesto. Initially a force in car racing with Alfieri Maserati at the helm, the company is now synonymous with luxury automobiles. A tragic racing accident in 1927 led to Alfieri's premature death. By 1937, the brothers relinquished control of the company, now a subsidiary of Fiat. (ANI)
