BAFTA-winning actor Hugh Grant recently shared tales from his early career, highlighting a unique experience from his visit to Kolkata in 1988. He was there for a French film project and was surprised to find an 11-year-old boy appointed as his driver, a revelation that initially left him in disbelief.
During an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', Grant recounted the incident, explaining his skepticism when a young boy approached him at the Calcutta airport, claiming to be his driver. Although doubtful, Grant accepted the situation, which led to a minor crash four days later, reaffirming his concerns. Despite the mishap, the boy later found new employment driving a school bus.
Additionally, Grant discussed his involvement in the forthcoming installment of the 'Bridget Jones' series, 'Mad About the Boy', slated for a Valentine's Day 2025 release. On 'The Graham Norton Show', Grant described the film as both amusing and deeply touching, marking his return as Daniel Cleaver after not participating in 'Bridget Jones's Baby'. Collaborating with producers, Grant helped redefine his character for authenticity.
