In a historic celebration this Diwali, the temple at Ram Lalla's birthplace in Ayodhya will be illuminated with thousands of lamps, marking the end of a 500-year wait, as announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Modi remarked that this Diwali signifies Ram's homecoming, a wait concluded not in 14 years, but after five centuries. The announcement follows the launch of development projects worth nearly Rs 12,850 crore and an expansion of the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme to include all senior citizens aged 70 and above.

The consecration of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya temple in January, led by Modi, captivated millions watching nationwide, marking a forward step towards building a strong, capable, and divine India for the future.
