The injured were rushed to hospitals in Kasargod, Kannur, and Mangaluru. The incident took place at Veerarkavu Temple, and safety lapses are under scrutiny.
According to the District Collector, initial investigations reveal that inadequate safety measures contributed to the explosion, as the required distance between storage and bursting areas wasn't maintained. Samples from the site have been collected, and a formal case has been launched.
