Actor Tom Holland is joining forces with Matt Damon in Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The screenplay, penned and directed by Nolan himself, will be distributed by Universal Pictures.

Scheduled for release on July 17, 2026, the plot of the movie remains tightly under wraps. Nolan, in collaboration with his wife Emma Thomas, is producing the project under their Syncopy production company. This venture reunites Nolan with Universal, the studio behind his Oscar-winning film, 'Oppenheimer'.

The critically acclaimed 'Oppenheimer' won Nolan the Best Director and Best Picture awards and grossed a tremendous 976 million dollars worldwide. This was Nolan's first film with Universal after his departure from Warner Bros. in late 2020.

While Matt Damon has previously worked with Nolan on projects like 'Oppenheimer' and 'Interstellar' (2014), this upcoming film will mark Tom Holland's first collaboration with the legendary director. Holland was most recently seen in the 2023 Apple TV miniseries 'The Crowded Room', as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
