Jameela Jamil and Naomie Harris will appear alongside Romesh Ranganathan in a new feminist dramedy titled 'Hysterical'. The narrative, partly inspired by the controversial figure Andrew Tate, is developed by Olivia Lee.
In 'Hysterical', Harris takes on the role of Leonora, a therapist who becomes embroiled in a quest against toxic masculinity after her daughter's assault. The drama unfolds as Leonora discovers the perpetrator idolizes "alpha" influencer Tommy T. Enraged, Leonora vents to her friends during a "rage release" session, leading to a group decision to confront Tommy T with their own brand of justice.
The series promises comedic yet poignant moments as these friends engage in an array of chaotic schemes. From botched surveillance to ill-conceived pranks, their bond and resolve grow stronger. Amidst juggling their personal lives, they realize their unique ability to retaliate effectively, all thanks to their camaraderie. The series is produced by Ranganathan's Ranga Bee Productions.
