Renowned choreographer Remo D'Souza and his wife Lizelle have recently become embroiled in a legal controversy following allegations of fraud. The accusations, which surfaced after an FIR was filed on October 16 in Maharashtra's Thane district, assert that the couple, along with five others, defrauded a dance troupe out of Rs 11.96 crore.

The complainant, a 26-year-old dancer, claims the deception occurred between 2018 and July 2024. The impression given was that the accused owned the dance troupe that performed and won on a television show, subsequently claiming the substantial prize money. Amidst these allegations, Remo and Lizelle have proclaimed their innocence.

Despite the gravity of the situation, the couple has issued a joint statement via Instagram, asking the public to refrain from spreading rumors and promising full cooperation with law enforcement. Other involved parties include Omprakash Shankar Chouhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, and Ramesh Gupta, a police officer, as stated in the ongoing police investigation.
