Noted filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has expressed his deep sorrow and disbelief following the shocking murder of former minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique. Speaking to ANI, Bhandarkar condemned the act, highlighting Siddique's approachable and amiable nature, and reminisced about attending his renowned Iftar gatherings.

Siddique, a three-time MLA from Bandra West, was tragically shot dead by unidentified assailants in Mumbai on Saturday evening. The influential politician had recently joined Ajit Pawar's NCP after resigning from Congress in February this year. Meanwhile, Bhandarkar also made headlines by participating in designer Rohit Kamra's 'Symmetric Rhapsody' collection at the Lakme Fashion Week.

Alongside actor Aahana Kumra, Bhandarkar turned showstopper for Kamra's collection, which drew inspiration from the geometric patterns of Acoma Pueblo pottery. Expressing his admiration for the innovative collection, Bhandarkar noted its unique textures. Kumra added that her boss lady look in black reflected both strength and femininity, aligning with the theme of empowerment showcased during the grand finale event.
