Tripura Celebrates Peaceful Durga Puja Amid Tight Security

Tripura celebrated Durga Puja peacefully, with no incidents reported during the festival days, according to police reports. The state maintained a festive atmosphere under heavy security.
The immersion of the clay idols began on Saturday, with organizers adhering to noise restrictions of below 65 decibels, Assistant Inspector General Ananta Das announced. Approximately 50 puja committees completed their immersion over the weekend, with others scheduled for October 14 under government guidelines.
The 'Mayer Gamon' carnival, organized by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, is set to conclude the weeklong festivities on October 14, featuring attendance by Chief Minister Manik Saha and other local dignitaries near Ujjayanta Palace.
