A marriage procession in Girdharpur village faced an objection from upper-caste locals over loudspeaker music, prompting police intervention on Saturday. The event unfolded in the Sirauli area when upper-caste community members expressed anger at the songs being played during the groom's procession.
Sirauli Station House Officer Prayagraj Singh reported that police arrived promptly at the scene, ensuring the procession proceeded safely. The police mediated and fostered a compromise between the two communities, ensuring that the situation remained calm.
The upper-caste members eventually saw the procession off, offering traditional gifts to the groom's family, and the issue was resolved without any incidents recorded. No official complaint has been filed regarding the matter, confirmed the SHO.
