Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, along with numerous political leaders and film industry figures, paid their last respects to Murasoli Selvam on Friday. The homage took place at the Gopalapuram residence of the late Dravidian leader M Karunanidhi, underscoring Selvam's significance.
Selvam, the brother of the late Union Minister Murasoli Maran and former editor of the DMK's official publication 'Murasoli', passed away on Thursday morning in Bengaluru. His body was transported to the residence of his father-in-law, Karunanidhi, reflecting his close ties with the Dravidian political sphere.
Leaders from various political parties and film personalities such as director P Vasu and actor Parthiban gathered to honor Selvam, who had left his mark on Tamil cinema through numerous film productions over several decades.
