Nidhi Gautam, a Delhi University undergraduate, had the rare opportunity to step into the shoes of a top British diplomat in New Delhi as part of the 'High Commissioner for a Day' initiative. The program, organized by the British High Commission in India since 2017, coincides with the International Day of the Girl Child.
Selected from over 140 contenders, Gautam immersed herself in the diplomatic world. Her day included briefings on the UK-India bilateral relationship and the UK-India Technology Security Initiative. Visits to tech hubs and institutes offered insights into emerging technologies aiding various sectors in India.
