The scenic Jammu Tawi Golf Course will host the fourth J&K Open from October 23 to 26, according to the PGTI's recent announcement. Sponsored by J&K Tourism, this event aims to elevate the profile of golf tourism in the region.
Among the top Indian professionals competing are Angad Cheema, Yashas Chandra, and Olympian Udayan Mane, alongside international players such as Stepan Danek from the Czech Republic and American Dominic Piccirillo. PGTI CEO Uttam Mundi praised the initiative for attracting global talent to the Indian tournament.
Addressing safety concerns, Vivekanand Rai, Director of Tourism for Jammu, assured the participants of complete security, countering any misconceptions associated with the region's reputation. Golfer Abhinav Lohan urged for increased corporate and media support to ensure golf gains popularity beyond cricket-dominated sports discourse in India.
