The Uttar Pradesh government has declared October 11 as a public holiday in observance of the 'Navami' festival, according to a senior official.
Responding to demands from various organizations, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the holiday, though essential services will continue to operate, stated Director Information Shishir.
The Basic Education Minister confirmed that all schools within the Basic Education Department will remain closed on Thursday. Navami, marking the end of Navratri, involves kanya bhoj, puja, and havan.
