Murasoli Selvam, a distinguished journalist and former editor of 'Murasoli', passed away at 84 in Bengaluru. Known for his dedication to the DMK party and press freedom, Selvam was also instrumental in producing numerous Tamil films.
The DMK expressed deep sorrow, with General Secretary Duraimurugan lauding Selvam's significant contribution to spreading the party's ideology. As a tribute, the DMK flag will fly at half-mast for three days beginning October 10.
Condolences poured in from various leaders, including Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai and former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam. CM Stalin called Selvam a guiding force for the party, underscoring his invaluable advice and solutions during crises.
