The Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad has announced its decision to prevent non-Sanatani individuals from operating food stalls at the upcoming Kumbh Mela. The organization is committed to replacing Urdu terms with Hindi, suggesting words like 'Rajsi Snan' and 'Chhavni Pravesh' instead of the traditional 'Shahi Snan' and 'Peshwai.'
The Parishad is preparing to submit new resolutions to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after Diwali, advocating for the deployment of only Sanatani employees and officers during the Kumbh Mela. This measure aims to preserve the integrity of the fair, as explained by Akhara Parishad chief, Ravindra Puri.
In addition, the Parishad insists on a meat and alcohol-free environment at the festival, involving the deployment of police personnel who abstain from these prohibitions. The group's actions echo a similar stance by Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav regarding the use of vernacular terminology in religious events.
