The Sessions Court in Bengaluru has reserved its decision regarding actor Darshan Thoogudeepa's bail petition concerning the Renukaswamy murder case. Proceedings commenced with various attorneys making their case, but Darshan's legal team remained silent during this session. Meanwhile, Special Government Prosecutor P Prasannakumar presented his arguments.

Despite previous adjournments by both the Sessions and Magistrate Courts, the case has seen two accused already granted bail, with a comprehensive charge sheet of 3,991 pages submitted against 17 individuals, including Darshan and Pavithra Gowda. The charge sheet, consisting of seven volumes and ten files, reflects a thorough investigation by Bengaluru Police.

Controversy escalated as Darshan was photographed with offenders at Parappana Agrahara Central Jail, leading to the suspension of seven officials over preferential treatment allegations. This development prompted Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda to demand accountability for any undue privileges granted to Darshan.
