In a tragic turn of events, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms wreaked havoc across Jharkhand on Tuesday, claiming the lives of two young boys in Giridih district.
The children, Sonu Kumar (10) and Biraj Kumar (8), were fatally struck by lightning while seeking shelter under a tree in Nawadih village during the storm.
Meanwhile, in Ranchi, the combination of intense rain and strong winds led to the collapse of Durga Puja pandals' bamboo structures, causing widespread traffic disruption across the capital city. Meteorological forecasts indicate the likelihood of continued showers in the region until October 11.
