Nagarjuna, a renowned actor, appeared in a local court on Tuesday to address a defamation complaint he filed against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha. The complaint was in response to her remarks linking his son Naga Chaitanya's divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu with BRS leader KT Rama Rao.
The incident, which took place at the Nampally court, saw Nagarjuna arrive with his wife Amala and son Naga Chaitanya. The complaint, filed under Section 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, highlighted that Surekha's comments had severely impacted the family's reputation.
Following intense backlash from the political and film communities, Surekha retracted her comments. Many prominent personalities termed her statements as derogatory, expressing their disapproval. Chaitanya also shared the complaint on social media, reinforcing their stance that the divorce was a mutual and personal decision.
