On Friday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar was presented with the first Sinhala edition of his book 'The India Way: Strategies For An Uncertain World' during his visit to Sri Lanka. This gesture marked his recognition as the first foreign dignitary to visit the island since the National People's Power (NPP) government assumed control on September 23.

During his stay, Jaishankar interacted with the Pathfinder Foundation, an independent Sri Lankan think tank known for its strong global connections, focusing particularly on relationships with China and India. The Foundation facilitated the translation of Jaishankar's work, emphasizing its importance in fostering bilateral understanding.

In addition to literary engagements, Jaishankar held discussions with key Sri Lankan figures, including President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, and opposition leader Sajith Premadasa, highlighting India's ongoing diplomatic commitment to its neighbor.
