The Delhi High Court has demanded a response from the Centre and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) regarding a plea to revoke the certification of recent movies 'Transformers One' and 'Devara: Part 1' for lacking essential accessibility features.

Justice Sanjeev Narula issued notices to the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, alongside production companies like Viacom18 Studios, and Yuvasudha Arts LLP, following a petition submitted by two visually impaired individuals. The case is set for further hearing on December 5.

Advocate Shashank Deo Sudhi argued that the absence of closed/open captioning and audio description features violates the Union Ministry's guidelines, leaving the petitioners unable to enjoy the films. The plea demands enforcement of accessibility standards and compliance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act.
