Guwahati is set to host a spectacular tribute to India's Chandrayaan mission—a 10-meter high replica of the moon—to coincide with the India International Science Festival starting November 30. This monumental installation will stand at the city center, thanks to British artist Luke Jerram.

The scale model, featuring high-resolution NASA imagery, represents five kilometers of the moon's surface per centimeter, and aims to honor India's achievements in science and technology. Installed by IIT-Guwahati, the model is a centerpiece for this government-organized event.

The four-day science festival will gather participants worldwide to discuss visionary ideas for India by 2047. Highlights include North-East India-focused sessions, workshops for educators, and a science literature festival, emphasizing self-reliance amid growing nuclear capabilities.
