Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has called on the Ahmedabad District Co-operative (ADC) Bank's management to spearhead health, nutrition, and education-related services in the district. Shah, who has been a former chairman of the bank, urged officials to devise and implement a comprehensive plan with the support of other cooperative entities.
Addressing stakeholders at a centenary celebration of the bank at Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre, Shah emphasized the need for ADC Bank to unburden central and state governments by taking responsibility for these critical services. He highlighted the bank's impressive track record of annual profits of Rs 100 crore and zero non-performing assets.
Shah commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's establishment of a separate Ministry of Cooperation, noting its role in fostering uniform development across India's cooperative sector.
