Bollywood actor Govinda was released from a Mumbai hospital on Friday, four days after sustaining an accidental gunshot wound to his leg. The actor, a Shiv Sena member, underwent surgery and is currently recovering at a private healthcare facility.
Govinda, aged 60, appeared in a wheelchair with family support, donning a cast on his injured leg. Expressing gratitude, he thanked the press, authorities, and fans, attributing his safety to their well-wishes.
His wife, Sunita Ahuja, informed the media that Govinda requires six weeks of rest at home, emphasizing limited external interactions to prevent infection. Meanwhile, police and the crime branch have launched investigations into the accidental discharge incident.
