The season of majestic Indian weddings is fast approaching, bringing with it colder evenings, cozy nights, and dazzling festivities renowned globally for their extravagant charm.

Industry insiders forecast a more intimate yet luxurious trend, with weddings scaling down in size but not in splendor. While the expectations are for smaller gatherings, the emphasis remains on personalized experiences, suggesting a dynamic shift in wedding preferences.

According to the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), the retail sector anticipates business worth Rs 5.9 lakh crore during this season, fueled by an estimated 48 lakh weddings set between November 12 and December 16. Delhi alone is poised for a Rs 1.5 lakh crore boost from over 4.5 lakh weddings. These celebrations are increasingly opting for domestic destinations, bespoke menus, and exclusive guest lists.
