In a concerning development, Giani Raghbir Singh, the Akal Takht Jathedar, has been hospitalized following complaints of severe body ache, according to his personal assistant.
The Akal Takht, which holds the highest temporal authority among Sikhs, saw its prominent figure admitted to the Guru Ramdas Institute of Medical Sciences on Wednesday night.
During examinations, Singh was diagnosed with a viral infection and is currently under the care of a team of doctors, assistant Talwinder Singh Buttar confirmed.
