On Gandhi Jayanti, animal rights activists in Bengaluru organized a Satyagraha, a peaceful march rekindling the principle of ahimsa to highlight animal abuse and promote veganism. The march stretched from Brookefield to Sapper War Memorial, covering nearly 18 km.

The event, named 'Satyagraha 2.0,' was observed in over 10 cities nationwide. In Bengaluru, it was spearheaded by the Bengaluru Brigade For Animal Liberation (BBAL) and Vegan India Movement (VIM). The focus was on issues like the White Revolution 2.0 and the Pink Revolution from an animal rights perspective.

Lead organiser Nitin from VIM emphasized the overlooked ethical issues related to dairy consumption, while BBAL's Dilip highlighted speciesism and the need to view all animals, not just pets, as sentient beings. Sunil, another activist, called out the dairy industry's cycle of constant pregnancy for female animals and pointed out the brutal fate of male calves. The activists engaged with passersby along the route, carrying placards to raise awareness.
