Familiar faces from Delhi's political circles, such as Manoj Tiwari and Vijender Gupta, as well as TV actors like Himanshu Soni and Samiksha Bhatnagar, are set to appear on the Delhi Ramlila stage this year, portraying iconic characters from the Ramayana.

According to Lav Kush Ramlila Committee President Arjun Kumar, this year's Ramlila will feature a three-storey stage, with artistes performing on all three levels. Kumar stated that one lakh LED lights will be used, and social media influencers have been engaged to promote the event.

BJP MP Tiwari will play Parashuram, Gupta, the leader of opposition in the Delhi assembly, will be King Janak, and former MLA Vijay Jolly will take on the role of Rishi Vashishth. Former mayor Jathedar Avatar Singh will portray Kumbhkaran, while AAP leader Brijesh Goyal will be Meghnad. Actors Himanshu Soni, Samiksha Bhatnagar, and Ketan Karande will play Ram, Sita, and Hanuman respectively.

Arjun Kumar explained the budget, noting that the funds come from voluntary contributions, and the projected cost is between Rs 4 crore and Rs 5 crore. The celebrations have already begun, with schoolchildren from Delhi-NCR performing Ramlila.

Using social media influencers aims to attract younger audiences to the cultural event, which will run until October 12, coinciding with Navratri and Dussehra celebrations.
