Nashik Jail Inmates Join Gandhi Peace Exam
Eighty inmates and eight officials from Nashik Central Jail participated in the Gandhi peace examination, facilitated by Bombay Sarvodaya Mandal, to promote ideals of peace and non-violence. The exam, held on Mahatma Gandhi's 155th birth anniversary, involved studying his autobiography and other literature. Top performers received awards.

Eighty inmates of Nashik Central Jail, along with eight officials, took part in the Gandhi peace examination organized by Bombay Sarvodaya Mandal to promote Gandhi's principles of peace and non-violence.
The exam, conducted on October 1, was part of the celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi's 155th birth anniversary and was facilitated by the jail administration. Participants included 70 men and 10 women inmates.
The syllabus featured Gandhi's autobiography and biographical literature provided free of charge. At a ceremony on October 2, top performers received Khadi clothes, while all participants received certificates. The exam has been conducted across various Maharashtra jails for the past 18 years.
