The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has announced the nominees for the ISSF Shooter of the Year award. The winners will be honored during the opening ceremony of the upcoming World Cup Final in New Delhi.

The season-ending tournament is set to take place in the national capital from October 13-18. ISSF president Luciano Rossi, along with other dignitaries, is expected to attend the ceremony.

An ISSF statement noted that six athletes from both the women's and men's categories were shortlisted based on a voting process involving ISSF Athletes and Coaching Commissions, as well as journalists covering the sport.

The nominees were selected based on their achievements during the 2024 international season, with a points-based system used for final tallies.

The list features renowned shooters like Vincent Hancock of the USA and China's Li Yuehong, alongside emerging talents such as Korea's Yang Ji-in and Italy's Paolo Monna. Nine of the twelve shortlisted athletes are Paris Olympic champions.

China leads with four nominees, all men, while Korea has two, including internet sensation and Paris silver medallist Kim Ye-ji. Chile, France, Switzerland, USA, and Italy each have one representative.

Winners will receive a trophy and a diploma, according to the statement.

The complete list of nominees includes: Women: Francisca Crovetto (Chile), Camille Jedrzejewski (France), Kim Ye-ji (Korea), Chiara Leone (Switzerland), Adriana Ruano Oliva (Guatemala), Yang Ji-in (Korea). Men: Vincent Hancock (USA), Li Yuehong (China), Liu Yukun (China), Paolo Monna (Italy), Sheng Lihao (China), Xie Yu (China).
