Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, on Wednesday, concluded his 11-day penance at the revered Tirumala temple. Kalyan, who undertook the penance to atone for the alleged misdeeds of the previous YSRCP government, was in the company of his daughters, Aadhya Konidela and Palina Anjani Konidela.

The Deputy Chief Minister carried with him the 'Varahi Declaration' book, whose contents he plans to unveil at a meeting in Tirupati on Thursday. An official release noted that Kalyan, also the founder of Janasena, paid respects to Sri Venkateswara Swamy and renounced his penance.

His daughter Palina Anjani Konidela, a minor and reportedly a non-Hindu, made a faith declaration as mandated by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) rules. This act drew attention as it echoed demands from BJP leaders for similar declarations from non-Hindu politicians visiting the temple.
