BJP president J P Nadda met Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Michael Holness here on Tuesday. Nadda apprised Holness of the party's organisational structure and its myriad activities.
The meeting formed a part of the 'Know BJP' initiative, which was launched by Nadda on the BJP's 43rd foundation day in 2023. Nadda, also Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare as well as Chemicals and Fertilisers, aims to showcase the party's global outreach through this initiative.
The leaders agreed to further strengthen party-to-party relations between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jamaica Labour Party, facilitating greater exchanges and fostering deeper mutual understanding. They discussed significant progress in bilateral relations over the past decade and explored potential future collaborations in the areas of health, pharma, and traditional medicine. Nadda also welcomed PM Holness on his maiden State visit to India and expressed sympathy for Jamaican citizens affected by Hurricane Beryl.
