Actor-comedian Vir Das has been compelled to reschedule his Dublin performance, a segment of his Mindfool World Tour, owing to visa complications.
Taking to Instagram, Das announced that the Dublin show, initially slated for October 7, will now be held in December. ''Alright Dublin. Bad news. I'm on my Europe tour and the Swedish embassy in their infinite wisdom gave me a single entry visa even though we sent them the whole tour sched,'' Das wrote.
Efforts to rectify the situation proved futile, leaving Das unable to travel from the Schengen area to Dublin and return. Consequently, the performance has been moved to December 4, with refunds available for those unable to attend. Das's tour will continue through 33 countries with stops in cities including Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Oslo, and Singapore. In addition to his tour, Das will host the International Emmy Awards in New York this November.
