Actor Govinda Recovering After Accidental Shooting Incident at Mumbai Home

Bollywood actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda is recovering after undergoing emergency surgery for a leg injury caused by a misfire of his licensed revolver at his Mumbai residence early Tuesday morning.
Govinda issued an audio message through Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) member Krishna Hegde, reassuring fans that the bullet had been successfully removed and expressing gratitude to the doctors and his supporters. 'With the blessings of you all and my parents, the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctors and you for keeping me in your prayers,' Govinda said.
The incident occurred around 4:45 am while Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata. According to Mumbai Police, the revolver accidentally discharged as Govinda was placing it back in his cupboard. His manager, Shashi Sinha, confirmed to ANI that the actor's condition is stable but he remains under hospital care as a precaution.
A Mumbai Police official confirmed that Govinda's injury was non-serious but necessitated hospital admission. Known for his debut in the late 1980s, Govinda has become a household name in Bollywood through numerous hit films characterized by his compelling dialogue delivery, comic timing, and dynamic dance moves.
