Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was rushed to the hospital early Tuesday morning after an accidental shooting. Mumbai Police reported that the incident happened around 4:45 am.

According to Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, the actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata and was placing his licensed revolver back in the cupboard when it accidentally discharged, striking him in the leg. Doctors have removed the bullet, and his condition remains stable.

A Mumbai Police official confirmed that Govinda's injury is non-critical but said he was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Further details are awaited.
