The Supreme Court has posed a series of questions to the Andhra Pradesh government in relation to the Tirupati laddu controversy. The ruling TDP on Monday reinforced its position on the issue, asserting readiness for a central probe despite an ongoing SIT investigation.

Leveraging the apex court's remarks, opposition YSRCP criticized the TDP, stating that the 'heinous' publicity around the laddu prasadam issue has caused global distress. TDP leaders maintained that adulterated ghee was used in producing the renowned Tirupati laddus, echoing accusations by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Andhra Pradesh TDP Spokesperson Pattabhi Ram Kommareddy declared, 'We stand by what we have presented to the public. There is no retreat. Adulterated ghee was definitely used; we possess ample evidence to prove this,' he assured in his dialogue with PTI. The Supreme Court noted that political agendas should remain separate from religious matters and questioned the veracity of the public accusations made by CM Naidu regarding ghee adulteration under the previous administration. The court also sought assistance from Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to determine if the ongoing state investigation should continue or if an independent probe was warranted.

YSRCP leader B Karunakar Reddy condemned the TDP's actions, accusing the government of politicizing a sacred matter and causing widespread harm. Meanwhile, TDP spokesperson Jyoshna Tirunagari stated the matter is under judicial consideration, affirming that courts will determine the resolution.
