Student Critically Injured in Alleged Ragging Incident in Odisha School

A Class-12 student from a private school in Odisha's Kalahandi district was critically injured late Sunday night after allegedly being pushed from the second floor of a hostel by classmates, according to police reports.
The school, located near Jagannathpur on the outskirts of Bhawanipatna, saw Ankesh Bag hospitalized in stable condition at Bhawanipatna government hospital, where doctors are attending to his injuries.
Bag, who claimed he was assaulted and pushed after warning the accused about reporting ragging, prompted the filing of an FIR against nine students. Bhawanipatna Sadar police station has commenced an investigation into the incident.
