On September 22, 2024, Huangling Village in Jiangxi Province hosted the Third International Summit for Mayors of Rural Tourism Villages and the 'Best Tourism Village' Forum. Organized by the China Tourism Scenic Area Association, the event included participation from the United Nations World Tourism Organization, 16 'Best Tourism Villages' from eight countries, and multiple travel agencies and media.
During the summit, significant contributions were made by key figures including Yao Jun, Chairman of the China Tourism Scenic Area Association, and Zhu Shanzhong, a tourism ambassador from the UN World Tourism Organization. Notably, Huangling Village received the Excellent Member Certificate from the International Festivals and Events Association (Asia Chapter).
The 'Huangling Initiative for International Tourism Villages' was read, and participants were immersed in Huangling's sun-drying culture and ancient heritage. The summit highlighted Huangling's journey from impoverishment to an esteemed tourist destination, providing a platform for dialogue and cooperation in enhancing rural tourism worldwide.
