Actor Vivek Oberoi is reveling in the success of his career in the South movie industry and now hopes for opportunities to work with legends such as Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Chiranjeevi.
Previously a well-known figure in the Hindi film industry, Oberoi made his Southern debut with 'Thozha/Oopiri' and subsequently starred in 'Vivegam', 'Lucifer', 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama', and 'Kaduva'.
Oberoi expressed his admiration for the South industry, stating, 'I've received immense love from the South. Whenever they call me back, I am eager to collaborate. My journey won't feel complete unless I act alongside Rajini Sir, Kamal Haasan Sir, or Chiranjeevi Sir.'
At the IIFA Awards 2024, Oberoi highlighted the significance of such events in fostering unity across different movie industries in India. 'IIFA brings together colleagues from the South and Bollywood to celebrate Indian cinema on a global stage,' he remarked.
The three-day IIFA Awards event commenced on September 27, featuring the IIFA Utsavam to honor South cinema, followed by the IIFA Awards and IIFA ROCKS for the Hindi film industry.
