An extensive two-day rat control drive commenced on Monday at Jaipur's iconic Ramniwas Garden and Albert Hall, a team from the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) confirmed.

In an effort to facilitate the pest control activities, Ramniwas Garden, Albert Hall, and nearby locales will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday. Pesticides will be deployed to eradicate the rodents, which have been burrowing throughout the garden and endangering the foundation of the historic Albert Hall.

According to officials, the rat control activity was initiated earlier on a smaller scale during the pandemic. However, the current large-scale operation is aimed at addressing the severe infestation, which has raised health concerns and potential structural risks.
