Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film 'Emergency' is embroiled in controversy due to requests from the censor board for 13 cuts. These cuts include adding disclaimers, deleting dialogues, and providing facts to back historical references. Ranaut considers some of the suggestions unreasonable but remains committed to maintaining the film's authenticity.

The Central Board for Film Certification's revising committee has issued a U/A certificate contingent on the proposed cuts. As a result, Zee Entertainment Enterprises has approached the Bombay High Court, seeking a direction for the CBFC to issue the certificate without cuts. The court has scheduled further hearings.

Ranaut, also a BJP MP, alleges political motivations behind the delays, especially with elections around the corner. Despite opposition from Sikh organizations and political speculation, Ranaut's team is determined to preserve the film's integrity.
