Four people, including three children, were injured in wildlife attacks in Uttar Pradesh's Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary and Bahraich forest division, according to officials.
The incidents happened between Thursday evening and late night. While Katarniaghat officials confirmed two leopard attacks, Bahraich authorities believe jackals or dogs may be responsible, though villagers claim wolves were involved.
In the first attack, a leopard in Katarniaghat's Harakhapur village injured a farmer named Madhusudan (35). In Sujoli range, a 13-year-old girl, Sahibha, was attacked while sleeping outside her house. In Bahraich, two additional attacks occurred in Ghoomni and Nakha villages, affecting children aged six months and five years.
