Household Help Arrested for Stealing Rs 10 Lakh from Telugu Actor's Residence

A domestic help was arrested for allegedly stealing Rs 10 lakh from Telugu actor Mohan Babu's residence in Jalpally. The money was taken from the actor's personal secretary's bag. Police recovered Rs 7.36 lakh and are investigating further.

A domestic help was arrested for allegedly stealing Rs 10 lakh cash from Telugu actor Mohan Babu's residence in Jalpally here, police said on Thursday.

The actor's personal secretary visited the house on Sunday and the domestic help allegedly stole the cash from his bag kept in a room, a police official confirmed.

Upon discovering the cash bag missing, the personal secretary registered a case at Pahadishareef police station.

During the course of the investigation, the domestic helper was apprehended in Tirupati, brought to Hyderabad, and placed under arrest on Wednesday, according to the official.

The accused is said to have stolen the money from the actor's personal secretary's bag.

Police managed to recover Rs 7.36 lakh from the accused and learned that the remaining amount had been spent. The investigation continues.
