Voice of SAP, an Indian-American NGO focusing on disability, raised $1 million at a Los Angeles event on September 21 to empower differently-abled individuals in India. Local philanthropists, dignitaries, volunteers, donors, and VOSAP Igniters were in attendance.

The Artesia City Council acknowledged the VOSAP mission with a Certificate of Recognition from Mayor Tony Lima, presented by Pro Tem Mayor Ali Sajjad Taj to the VOSAP founders.

Founder Pranav Desai shared his Vision 2047, emphasizing the potential economic contribution of differently-abled individuals in India, aiming for a $1 trillion economy by 2047. He highlighted the multiplier effect of even small donations, showing how a $100 donation could result in an economic impact of $10,000.

Desai introduced the 'Hitarth' project, launched in May 2024, which is VOSAP's healthcare initiative in India. The NGO is also promoting the government program 'Nirmaya' to help families of intellectually disabled persons access healthcare services worth up to Rs 1 lakh. This new model of assistance was highly appreciated by donors.

The event was further enlivened by a performance from Sparsh Shah, VOSAP's youth ambassador, who captivated the audience with his soulful singing, creating a compassionate and generous atmosphere.
