Tragedy in Lebanon: Escalating Conflict Results in Over 600 Casualties
Lebanon's health minister reported that 51 people were killed and 223 wounded in Israeli strikes on Wednesday, adding to the 564 dead and more than 1,800 wounded in the past two days. This week marks the deadliest since the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah.

These casualties add to the 564 deaths and over 1,800 injuries reported over the previous two days, including around 150 women and children.
Health Minister Firas Abiad did not specify the number of women and children injured on Wednesday.
This week has been the deadliest in Lebanon since the monthlong war between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006.
