Ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly session, BJP legislators called for government accountability on pressing issues and public grievances. The session is scheduled for September 26 and 27.

During a press conference, Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta emphasized unresolved issues that need addressing in the upcoming session. 'We would like to know from Arvind Kejriwal how he managed the Delhi government from the jail. No cabinet meeting or assembly session took place; he couldn't sign any file,' Gupta remarked.

The BJP blamed government negligence for the deaths of 50 people who died by drowning and electrocution. Gupta pointed out the absence of the CAG report, which hasn't been presented in the assembly for four years, describing it as a constitutional matter that demands resolution.

Accusations of corruption in various departments were echoed by Vishwas Nagar MLA OP Sharma, who claimed, 'There is corruption all around in all departments – hospitals, the water department, and others. Delhi is being run like a 'Banana republic.''

BJP legislators also questioned the session timing, suggesting it might be a compulsion rather than purpose-driven. Gupta explained that the previous session was on April 8, and constitutionally, a session must be held within six months to avoid automatic dissolution. The BJP aims to extend the session to ensure comprehensive discussions on all vital issues.
