The ticket prices for next summer's Lord's Test between India and England have been increased once again. This hike comes despite a lukewarm response from fans during the recent game against Sri Lanka.

Marylebone Cricket Club, the owner of Lord's, faced criticism over the steep ticket prices for the England-Sri Lanka Test earlier this season.

The five-match Test series between India and England will kick off on June 20, with the third Test at Lord's scheduled from July 10. Pricing for the cheapest tickets with restricted views for the India game starts at £90, while tickets offering unrestricted views range from £120 to £175, according to a report by ESPNcricinfo.

In comparison, restricted view tickets for the Test against Sri Lanka were priced between £115 and £140. However, the match ended on day four, drawing only 9,000 spectators, which filled just a third of the stadium.

The home Test series against India is considered the second most significant event after the Ashes series against Australia. Following the low turnout for the Sri Lanka match, England's stand-in captain, Ollie Pope, expressed his surprise at the sparse audience. 'It was just like 'jeez, it seems quiet today,' he remarked. 'It's a shame it wasn't a full house because it was obviously a good day's play.'
