Officials in Mangan district, Sikkim, are preparing to discuss the resumption of tourism activities after the recent restoration of road networks. Stakeholders will meet with District Collector Anant Jain on Wednesday to address pertinent issues.

Tourism in Mangan was halted in June due to severe rains that damaged essential roadways. On Monday, Jain engaged with local leaders, including 'Pipons' and 'Dzumsa' members, in Lachen to deliberate on reviving tourism and improving infrastructure.

The district's infrastructure has improved under the Bharatmala project, enhancing road connectivity. 'Pipons' and 'Dzumsa' play integral roles in local governance and will be pivotal in ensuring the successful reopening of tourism in the picturesque region.
